The substance of beautiful shining desire captivates the human spirit.
Like an organism, it repeats endlessly.
流れゆく時間の中で物質と精神が繰り返し生まれていく、終わりと始まり。
美しく輝いた欲望という物質は人間の精神を虜にする。
それは生命体のように連綿と繰り返される。
When looking down at the city at midnight from the top of the hill, my consciousness flies far away as if getting sucked in by the lights of skyscrapers and streaming headlights. It feels like being intoxicated by the civilization built by humans and it seems like a sense of security that escapes from the enormous amount of misinformation that this city holds. Looking at it now, all the realities in front of me seem made up. Actually, everything is just the existence of things and events and people's ability to fabricate a new imaginary world. Whether it was at the end of the age of hunter-gatherers or during the agricultural era, humankind gained imagination at some point. That must have been a means for us to live in the future. We won't know whether that evolution was correct until the very end of humanity. Just like organisms chose the option of death on purpose to connect the relay of life and discovered the continuance of life, the same was true for humankind. However, the power of imagination is also trying to change that view of life and death.
丘の上から深夜の都市を眺めていると高層ビル群の明かりやヘッドライトの流れる光に吸い込まれるように自分の意識が遠くに飛んでしまう。それは人間が築いた文明に酔っているような気持ちでもあるし、この都市の持つ巨大な情報（噂）から逃れた安心感でもあるように思える。今、こうして眺めていると、目の前にある実在は全て虚構のようである。実は全てが単なる事物、事象の存在でしかないが、人間はそれを想像する能力で虚構として私たちに新しい世界をもたらしてくれた。人類が狩猟採集時代の終わりなのか、農耕時代なのか、どこかの時点で想像を獲得した。それは人類が未来に生きる手段だったのだろう。その進化が正しいのかどうかは、人類最後のひとりにならないと判らない。生物があえて死という選択をして、命のリレーを繋げ、生命の永続を見出したように、人類も同様だった。しかし、想像の力はその死生観をも変えようとしている。
